The founder of Mount Kenya University (MKU) Prof. Simon Gicharu has donated $ 6000 to the MUBS Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Incubation Center (EIIC) to fund the East African Business Plan Competition. The competition which is to be jointly run by MKU and the MUBS EIIC was launched on November 5, 2019 at MKU, Thika Campus, Nairobi Kenya. The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding, (MoU) to incubate home grown startups aimed at solving the problem of unemployment, through the business competition plan. MUBS was represented by the Principal Prof. Waswa Balunywa, Chairman Council Eng. Isaac Ngobya, while the Vice Chair MKU Council, Dr. Vincent Gaitho and Prof. Peter Wanderi Ag. Vice Chancellor represented MKU.
