2024 has been a year of innovation, academic excellence, community engagement, and significant milestones that highlights the unwavering commitment of our students, staff, and partners. As the year draws to a close, MUBS Mbale Regional Campus reflects on an extraordinary 2024. This

In the spirit of the festive season, we extend our warmest wishes and take this opportunity to celebrate the strides made by our vibrant academic community.
Highlights of 2024
1. Academic Excellence; Our students continued to excel academically, with outstanding results that reinforces MUBS Mbale’s reputation as a hub
of academic rigor in Eastern Uganda. This success is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, the resilience of our students, and the supportive
environment fostered on campus.
2. Strengthening Collaborations and Community Engagement; Water -Week Celebration (18th–22nd March 2024): Under the theme “Bridging Borders: Water for a Peaceful and Sustainable Future,” our staff and students partnered with the Ministry of Water and Innovation Africa to promote sustainability and cross-border collaboration. 14th National Council for Higher Education Exhibition (21st–23rd March 2024): Our campus proudly participated in this exhibition held at Uganda Christian University, Mbale Campus. With the theme “Fostering Graduate Employability and Innovation,” over 70 institutions showcased initiatives. Our students had a unique opportunity to present their creativity, network, and exchange ideas with peers and industry leaders.
3. Building Capacity for a Resilient Future; Regional Climate and Capacity Building Workshop (20th–21st August 2024): In partnership with UNDP, we hosted a workshop addressing climate change and sustainability. Research Grant Workshop (14th November 2024): Academic staff attended a transformative session on impaction research, led by seasoned professionals. Field Tour on Entrepreneurship (15th November 2024): A visit to Byeffe Foods—a leader in regional food processing— offered students practical insights into entrepreneurship and innovation.
4. Promoting Cultural and Ethical Values Our Cultural Gala celebrated diversity, fostering unity and appreciation for different perspectives. It was a
vibrant showcase of the ethical and cultural values that define our institution.
5. Holistic Student Development; We focused on nurturing students’ physical, emotional, and social well- being through: Robust extracurricular activities, including sports competitions. Counseling services and programs promoting mental health. A campus environment that inspires growth and camaraderie.
6. Innovative Research and Development; Library Week (15th November 2024): This initiative enriched learning resources and was launched in collaboration with the Elgon Cultural Museum. Multi-University Dialogue on Trafficking in Persons (TIP) (19,November 2024): Partnering with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and IOM, we hosted an event to create awareness and foster action against human trafficking.
7. Culminating the Year in Celebration; End-of-Year Mass (15th November 2024): A thanksgiving mass honored achievement, appreciated stakeholders, and marked the beginning of the festive season in a spirit of gratitude and togetherness. Looking Ahead to 2025; the future is bright at MUBS Mbale Regional Campus. As we step into 2025, our vision remains anchored in: Driving academic and research excellence, Promoting
inclusivity within our diverse community and Pioneering innovative approaches to shape education and make impactful contributions to society.
