On November 8, 2024, MUBS Mbale Campus hosted an unforgettable welcome party for its new students. The campus gardens were alive with excitement, motivation, and celebration as they embarked on a new academic journey together. The campus traditionally holds a party dubbed “FRESHERS’ Party” welcoming new students in the first semester of a new academic year Mrs. Lutale introduced staff members and asked students to be ambassadors of MUBS-Mbale Campus and promote the MUBS brand wherever they go. The day was made more lively by the Guest Speaker, Mr. Saleh Naminya, Managing Director of Casa Lodges and Safari Uganda, who added more value to the event by sharing his inspiring journey from teaching to entrepreneurship a story of self-motivation, determination, and success left a lasting impact on all. More soul warming, Rev. Robert Mateba from St. Peter’s Church of Uganda opened the event with a heartfelt prayer, setting a positive and blessed tone for the year ahead. The Chief Fresher Hon. Marvin Mabere kicked things off with inspiring remarks, followed by a warm welcome from the Guild Speaker, Rt. Hon. Leaya Sawedi,
who introduced the Guild Council representatives.
The Guild Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Erick Kiseka, spoke passionately on teamwork and leadership, introducing the Cabinet Ministers and setting the stage for an amazing year of collaboration. Dean of Students representative, Ms. Mary Valerian Namataka, reminded new students of the endless opportunities at MUBS from academics to self discovery and career growth. She highlighted available scholarships and waivers for sports, disability,
and top graduates and called upon the students to take advantage of them. A special thanks to Mr. Mulocho Eric for recognizing the Guest
Speaker and congratulating the first-class achievers from each programme with well-deserved gifts. The day was wrapped up with cake cutting, a blessing from Rev. Father Ronald, and a delicious lunch. With hearts full of excitement, we welcomed our new students.
