The Faculty of Management was thrilled to welcome the new faculty entrants on August 5, 2025, at the MUBS Main Campus, Nakawa. Dr. Kasimu Ssenyange, who represented the Head of the Department of Management, advised the students to avoid all forms of examination malpractice, such as forging examination permits, smuggling unauthorized materials into the examination room, impersonation, and copying from others.
He emphasized that such practices not only violate university regulations but also undermine the integrity of the academic system and the value of the qualifications awarded. Dr. Ssenyange cautioned that students found guilty of malpractice could face serious disciplinary actions, including suspension, expulsion, or the cancellation of examination results.
He reminded them that academic success should be built on honesty, hard work, and personal discipline. He further encouraged students to seek help from lecturers or academic support services if they face challenges, instead of resorting to dishonest means. “Integrity must be the foundation of your academic journey,” he concluded.
Ms. Bridget Namubiru, Lecturer in the Faculty inspired the new students to take charge of their journey by embracing self-leadership. She encouraged them to set clear personal goals and define a vision that will guide their time at the university and beyond. “When you have a purpose and a strong inner drive,” she said, “you will not just survive university, you will thrive.” She urged students to take full advantage of the university environment by building meaningful networks, connecting with people from different backgrounds, and stepping out of their comfort zones. “University is not just about academics, it is a place where you begin to discover who you really are,” she added. Ms. Namubiru emphasized the importance of staying committed to one’s goals, remaining focused even during challenges, and making every opportunity count. Her message was clear: with the right mindset, every student has the power to shape their own success story.
Dr. Moses Onyoin, Lecturer in the Faculty encouraged students to approach their university journey with focus and resilience. He reminded them Save that university is not only a fresh start, but also a powerful opportunity to reset and redefine their personal and academic goals. Dr. Onyoin encouraged students to see their academic journey as a fresh opportunity to shape their future. He emphasized the importance of regular attendance, active participation, and using available university resources. He urged them to stay committed and resilient in the face of challenges, reminding them that consistent effort and intentionality are key to achieving their goals.
