On April 1, 2019 a group of 24 students from Copenhagen Business School, CBS, Denmark joint the MUBS students for a joint research project.
As part of their master elective course ‘Field Study: Entrepreneurship and Private Sector Development, the students were in Uganda for a 20 days field study trip.
This course provides students the opportunity of applying theoretical knowledge and research methods to a practical, empirical situation.
MUBS and CBS have had a research collaboration for last nine(9)years now. The project is supervised by prof. Thilde Langevang and Prof. Søren Jeppesen from CBS, in collaboration with staff and students from MUBS. While at MUBS, work in groups of four with two students from CBS and
two students from MUBS. Each group is given an opportunity to select topics in the areas of social enterprises, the informal sector, micro-finance institutions, youth entrepreneurship among others
Besides studying and working on their research, some of the students also decided to travel during the weekends. This allows the students to combine studying and traveling, making the overall experience culturally enriching from different perspectives. Despite the deep cultural differences, between the students, their research projects went on well.
