The annual Marketers Career Fair was held on November 5, 2025, at the Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Main Campus in Nakawa, brought together marketing professionals, students, and industry leaders to explore strategies for building globally competitive brands from Uganda.

Organized by the Department of Media Studies under the Faculty of Marketing and International Business, the event ran under the theme “Building Global Brands from Uganda: Build Local, Go Global.” The fair provided a vibrant platform for students to interact with experts from diverse sectors, gaining practical insights into industry trends, innovation, and global marketing practices.

Speaking during the event, representatives from MUBS emphasized the university’s commitment to implementing a competency-based curriculum that bridges the gap between academia and industry. They noted that such initiatives equip students with hands-on experience, preparing them to thrive in the competitive global marketplace.
