Ahead of the upcoming examinations, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has issued a stern warning to students, cautioning against any involvement in examination malpractice.

The alert, released on November 7, 2025, by School Registrar Dr. Eldred M. Kyomuhangi- Manyindo, underscores the School’s commitment to academic integrity and a fair examination environment. The notice explicitly warns students against possessing unauthorized materials, including mobile phones, smart watches, smart glasses, earpieces, electronic pens, summarized notes, and even firearms. The use of forged documents, such as fake examination permits or altered provisional permits, is strictly prohibited.

Students are further instructed not to communicate with each other during exams or hire impersonators to sit exams on their behalf. Dr. Kyomuhangi- Manyindo also condemned any form of assault, harassment, or threats directed at invigilators, stressing the importance of respecting examination officials. Additionally, students must not destroy evidence related to alleged malpractice cases or engage in behavior that disrupts the smooth conduct of examinations.

“Maintaining the integrity of our examinations is paramount,” said Dr. Kyomuhangi-Manyindo. “We urge all students to adhere to these guidelines to ensure a credible and fair assessment process for everyone.”

MUBS reaffirmed its commitment to upholding academic excellence, warning that any breach of these rules will aattract severe disciplinary action.
