The Department of Auditing and Taxation at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) recently bid farewell to Mr. Joseph Byaruhanga, who has retired from active service after a distinguished tenure in the Department of Accounting.
Mr. Byaruhanga joined MUBS in July 2022, and in his time at the university, he quickly earned a reputation for professionalism, dedication, and a collaborative spirit. Colleagues and students alike appreciated his commitment to excellence and the energy he brought to every task.
In a warm send-off, the Head of Department, Prof. Arthur Sserwanga, praised Mr. Byaruhanga for his dedication to quality service and teamwork. “Your professionalism and willingness to collaborate have greatly enriched our Department,” Prof. Sserwanga remarked. He also encouraged staff to prepare for retirement early and to remain active and engaged throughout their careers, highlighting that maintaining energy and enthusiasm ensures a fulfilling post-retirement life.
