On 3rd December 2025, MUBS proudly joined the nationwide celebrations of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities at UNITE Mubende Campus, Mubende District, demonstrating its commitment to inclusion and empowerment. Leading the delegation, Vice Chairperson of the Council, Mr. James Mwesigye, and Ms. Gorretti Byomiire, Director of the MUBS Disability and Learning Centre, represented the school in an event that highlighted the transformative power of economic opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Themed “Wealth Creation Programmes: A Key to Social Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities,” the celebration focused on promoting inclusive economic participation and showcasing achievements in social and economic inclusion. The event was graced by the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, representing President H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Vice Chairperson MUBS Council, Mr. James Mwesigye, emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between educational institutions and government in creating sustainable economic opportunities for persons with disabilities. Ms. Byomiire highlighted MUBS’ ongoing commitment to fostering inclusion and empowering students with disabilities through targeted programs, resources, and support systems.
