As we begin 2026, I extend my greetings to each member of the MUBS community; Academic Staff, Administrators, Support Staff, Students, Alumni, partners, and friends. A new year is a powerful moment for gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to our shared vision.
The year 2025 was marked by dedication, team work, and resilience. Together, we navigated change, embraced innovation, and continued our mission to transform lives through business education.
I applaud your collective contributions whether in lecture rooms, offices, research or virtual spaces. Your professionalism and service have been the cornerstone of our progress and visibility across Uganda and the region.
To those who achieved personal or professional milestones in 2025, congratulations!
Whether it was a promotion, graduation, an award, or new family addition, we celebrate with you. We also pause to honour those among us who faced loss. In particular, we pay heartfelt tribute to our colleagues who passed on last year. Their legacy of service will forever remain part of MUBS’ story.
As we step into 2026, we do so with renewed energy and a clear focus. Our mandate remains to provide quality business and management education, foster impactful research, promote innovation and entrepreneurship, and support national and regional socio- economic transformation.
This year presents a unique opportunity to advance our transition to the Competence- Based Curriculum and further embed digitalization across our academic and administrative processes. It calls upon all of us to adapt boldly, collaborate intentionally, and guide our students to become not just employable, but entrepreneurial and socially responsible citizens.
Let us strengthen our institutional culture grounded in integrity, excellence, teamwork, and faith in God. Let us continue to build an inclusive, nurturing, and high-performing academic environment that prepares our learners for a dynamic future.
