September 22, 2025- Uganda Development Bank Ltd (UDB) appointed Associate Professor Rachel Mindra Katoroogo, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at Makerere University Business School (MUBS), as a Non- Executive Director to its Board of Directors. The Bank described her appointment as a step toward strengthening governance and national impact.
“Assoc. Prof. Mindra’s extensive experience in academia and industry will be invaluable in advancing UDB’s mission of delivering impactful financial services and development finance solutions across Uganda,” the Bank noted.

At MUBS, she has championed innovation and partnerships that connect learning to real-world solutions, while also contributing to financial inclusion, cooperative development, and governance reforms in line with Uganda’s Vision 2040 and the National Development Plan.
