Ag. Head  of  Department  – Leadership and Goverance  , Mr. George William Mugerwa  handing  over  a certificate to one of  the best female students

Dr. Joshua Mugambwa, the Dean Faculty of Management  congratulated the best performing students in the Faculty upon their achievement and appreciated their effort to excel in academics. He was addressing them during the Faculty of Management Academic excellence Awarding  ceremony that took place on March 28, 2024 at MUBS Main  Campus, Nakawa.
In his address Dr. Mugambwa  said “education has mixed out comes, which are either good or bad. Education is good because it brings you close to different people and it makes you more productive. Education can be counter productive when it leads to pride and loss of esteem due to its grading. Hidden Curriculum  should be exploited since the world is not only books but also  involves other aspects, you will  never know where life will lead you to.”

The purpose of the ceremony was to motivate students to continue  working hard, encourage them to be disciplined which is very important, and to manage themselves well.

Meanwhile, Dr. Grace Nalweyiso,  the Head Department Management, applauded the students for working hard. She emphasized that if one wants to excel, it does not matter what they do, God knows your destiny.
Keep working hard, life outside university requires you to be  outstanding and as first class  students you should not fail.  Mr. George William, the Ag. Head,  Department Leadership and Governance, urged the students not to succeed alone, but help  their fellow students who are struggling to succeed  as well.
“With God everything is possible and what ever you do make sure you do it at your best. I love the spirit of excellence, as we celebrate your success, we should be grateful to God and for our heart desires He will fulfill. For any questions in your life, the answers are found in the bible. Commit yourself in everything you do, and I encourage you when you succeed after University, come back and inspire others.” he said

Assoc. Prof. Janet Kyogabiirwe  challenged the students not to  neglect humanity. As you pursue  excellence do not forget humanity  and the spirit of  excellence goes  with those who seek it. Develop the spirit of service because as you serve, you are serving God.
