Assoc. Prof. Sheilla Namagembe was on May 14, 2024 declared un opposed for the post of Dean Faculty of Procurement and Logistics Management.
Assoc. Prof. Namagembe has served as the Dean for the Faculty for a period of 3 years of where her term of office ended and she contested again.
Sheila is an experienced Academic Dean with 10+ years of experience in higher Education with a strong understanding in sustainable procurement, logistics and supply chain management and a number of published work in her field.
Assoc. Prof. Namagembe holds a PhD in Management where her research focus was green supply chain management from University of Newcastle (Australia), a Master of Science in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration(Procurement and Supplies option) from Makerere University and a Higher Education teaching Certificate from Derek Bok Center, Harvard University.
Assoc. Prof. Namagembe is a former Head of the Department of Procurement and Logistics Management (from 1st February 2021 to 30th June 2021). She is also a pioneer Dean for the Faculty of Procurement and Logistics Management and a Dean elect for the Faculty. She is an Associate Professor in the field of Procurement, Logistics, and Supply chain management. She has a strong research interest.
On May 14, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Milburga Atcero was declared unopposed for the post of Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality, and Languages. Assoc. Prof. Atcero has served as the Dean of the Faculty, where her term recently ended, and she contested for the position again.
Assoc. Prof. Milburga Atcero is an esteemed Assoc. Prof. in French Language Education at MUBS, where she also serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality, and Languages.
She earned her Ph.D. in French Language Education, National and Foreign Cultures, and Civilization from Sorbonne University, Paris 3, France, in April 2013. Assoc. Prof. Atcero specializes in French Language for Specific Purposes and has made significant contributions to language education in Uganda and beyond.
Assoc. Prof. Isa Nsereko was on May 22, 2024 declared a winner for the post of Dean Faculty of Entreprenuership, and Small Business Management, this followed the end of the term of Office for Dr. Edith Basalirwa.
Assoc. Prof. Nsereko has served in the Faculty as the Head for Projects and Small Business Management for a period of 2 years and will be assuming the Office of the Faculty Dean effective July 01, 2024 Professor Isa Nsereko is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Department of Projects and Small Business Management at Makerere University Business School (MUBS).
He is an external examiner for several Universities in Uganda and beyond. He has vast experience in mentoring, coaching, teaching, management, research, curriculum design and review. He has taught for more than 13 years at secondary level, undergraduate and post graduate levels. He is a business expert and has proven working experience in the public, private and the informal sectors. His research focuses on project sustainability, women entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, migration entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystem, entrepreneurial mindset and business startup.
Professor Nsereko’s published work deals in constructs of sustainable leadership, personal initiative in social entrepreneurial ventures and the moderating role of networks on social entrepreneurial venture.
