On Thursday April 18, 2024, the Dean Faculty of Tourism Hospitality and Languages Assoc. Prof. Milburga Atcero together with Prof. Cynthia EID the President of the International Federation of Teachers of French pitched the concept note of the upcoming 11th congress of the Teachers of French to 20 members of Club Affairs de Kampala at Karveli restaurant in Kampala.
Prof. Atcero said, “we managed to convince more than 10 companies to partner with us and purchase space in our exhibition tent and we had very successful engagement.”
Makerere University Business School (MUBS) through the Faculty of Tourism Hospitality and Languages will be hosting 11th international conference of French teachers in Africa and Indian Association, an event which will attract participants from over 100 countries across the globe.
The conference will be in conjunction with the Association of Teachers of French in Uganda (APFO), the French Embassy in Uganda, the International Federation of Teachers of French (FIPF) and the Commission for Africa and the Indian Ocean (CAOI),
The five day event will run from July 22nd – 26th , 2024, under the theme: French Language as an Engine for Sustainable Development in the Digital Era. The Conference will be a pivotal gathering, centering on the profound potential of the French language in fostering sustainable development within the contemporary digital landscape. With the anticipation of over 1500 participants from Africa and around the globe, this conference guarantees to be an engaging and enriching experience for all attendees.
