The Dean Faculty of Computing and Informatics(FCI) , Assoc. Prof. Sonny Nyeko has revealed that the Faculty has plans to start a Science Technology and Innovation Centre so that the best students from the Faculty can be given a platform at the Centre to carry on their innovations.
He made the remarks while addressing outstanding performing students during the Academic Excellence Certificate Awarding Ceremony held by the Faculty on April 15, 2024, at MUBS Main Campus, Nakawa.
He also asked the students to be MUBS’ ambassadors and represent the School well wherever they go. “You are our ambassadors out there. Our students of Business Computing and those Office Information Management are very flexible that is why most employers are happy with our programmes out there.”
He advised the continuing students to maintain the good performance. And the students who graduated at the MAK 74th graduation ceremony in February 2024, he advised them not to be rigid and not to despise any job because the first job is always a stepping stone. Assoc. Prof. Nyeko also encouraged the students who graduated to come back and visit the Faculty even after their studies.
