Students happily displaying their certificates at the academic excellence awarding ceremony
On September 11, 2025, the Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management held a ceremony to honor academic excellence, awarding certificates to the Faculty’s best-performing students.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Isa Nsereko, congratulated the top students on their achievements and encouraged them to support their peers who may be struggling. He also advised students to remain focused and dedicated, both academically and beyond. Assoc. Prof. Nsereko further warned students against distractions such as drug abuse and sexual relationships. He encouraged them to come up with innovative business ideas that address global challenges.
Dr. Samuel Mayanja commended students for their creativity and urged them to embrace Artificial Intelligence to remain relevant in the digital age.
He encouraged them to utilize the MUBS Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Incubation Centre (EIIC) to enhance their innovations, while also emphasizing the importance of emotional intelligence, strong networks, and valuing others’ ideas.
Mr. Albert Arinda, a Lecturer in the Faculty also encouraged students to apply their innovations in real-life by creating unique, value-adding, and problem-solving businesses. He emphasized teamwork, mutual support, and active participation in EIIC programs.
Dr. Sirajje Yiga another Lecturer, in the same faculty, advised students to extend their academic excellence into the professional world by using their skills to build successful businesses, maintaining a positive mindset, and believing in their potential.
