Owek. Prof. Hajji. Twaha Kigongo Kaawaase was the esteemed guest of honor at the MUBSASA 4th Annual Festival, dubbed Lumba, held at Maya Nature Resort along the Kampala–Masaka Road.

The one-day event featured a rejuvenating nature walk, high-energy team-building games, and a spectacular evening of Dubai-style dancing waters, campfire moments, and live band performances. The festival brought together MUBS administrative staff for a day filled with engaging activities, laughter, and renewed camaraderie, making it a highlight on the association’s calendar.
MUBS Principal, Prof. Moses Muhwezi, joined the celebrations and used the occasion to emphasize key institutional values. In his address, he highlighted the importance of teamwork, job satisfaction, and delivering timely services to students. He urged staff to remain fair and objective in their duties and reassured them of his commitment to fairness and equity across all levels. Prof. Muhwezi also reaffirmed that staff promotions were underway, bringing much excitement to the administrative community.

Owek. Prof. Kaawaase, in his remarks, thanked the organizers for extending the invite and encouraged staff to always participate in such activities as they improve teamwork and foster performance.
Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Assoc. Prof. Rachel Mindra Katoroogo, who also doubles as Chairperson RBS, graced the occasion and, in her remarks, underscored the importance of such events for staff.
The Chief Human Resources, Ms. Christine Nanyombi Mubiru, applauded the high turnout and reiterated the significance of such events in enhancing teamwork and staff morale. She emphasized how informal gatherings like the Lumba Festival build bonds that reflect positively in the workplace.
Speaking on behalf of sponsors, Mr. George William Mugerwa, who represented MUBS SACCO, encouraged staff to remain diligent, take advantage of SACCO products, and cultivate a culture of saving and retirement planning.
