The MUBS Environment Management Unit, on Tuesday, December 02, 2025 hosted officials from Bank of Uganda for a pitching session intended to secure funds for Greening MUBS Campuses and the surrounding communities that is to plant trees, flowers and shrubs in the MUBS Campuses and surrounding communities which will create a sustainable and thriving environment within our educational setting.

This initiative follows Bank of Uganda ESG framework for adopting sustainability practices thereby supporting Uganda’s broader Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Ms. Irene Namutebi Benham presented MUBS’ clear focus on environmental impact, practical implementation strategies, and measurable sustainability outcomes.

Theses Initiatives include; Greening MUBS Campuses and the surrounding communities, provide innovative skilling programmes to empower business and individuals to integrate eco- friendly practices and green technologies into their operations and Sustainable Funding Solutions.

Ms. Yedidah Nyakato appreciated MUBS’ initiative to take part in issues concerning the environment and called upon the Unit to fully utilize this opportunity and to consider emerging sustainability solutions for trees, flowers and shrubs.

Upon on acceptance of the pitched proposals by the MUBS Environment Management Unit, MUBS together with Bank of Uganda will sign a Memorandum of Understanding for this greening initiative which will be followed with funding for the initiative.
