September 2025: Makerere University Business School (MUBS) recently hosted a delegation from Howest University of Applied Sciences in Belgium, in a visit aimed at deepening academic cooperation and strengthening international partnerships.
The delegation, comprising Ms. Katelijne Demeyere and Mr. Lieven Theys, was received by MUBS Principal, Prof. Moses Muhwezi, at the institution’s Main Campus. The visit featured high-level discussions focused on advancing collaboration in key areas such as student and faculty exchanges, joint academic programs, and collaborative research initiatives.
As part of the visit, the delegation held a strategic meeting with the leadership of the Faculty of Economics, Energy, and Management Science, led by the Dean Dr. Ronett Atukunda. Both teams explored mutually beneficial academic opportunities that align with global education trends and institutional development goals.
Prof. Muhwezi emphasized the value of international partnerships in shaping a globally competitive learning environment and praised the ongoing collaboration between MUBS and Howest University. “We recognize the importance of global engagement in enriching our academic offerings and preparing students for an interconnected world,” he noted.
The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to fostering cross-border academic cooperation and set the stage for future joint initiatives that will benefit students, faculty, and the broader academic community.
