Our very own Ms. Gorretti Byomire, the Director Disability, Resource and Learning Centre was recently appointed to the Advisory Board of the Young African Leaders Initi ative Regional Leadership Center, Southern Africa (YALI RLC-SA) consisting of 14 Countries of Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
YALI was launched by former President of the United States Barack Obama as a signature effort to invest in the next generation of African leaders. YALI also promotes three models designed to identify and empower young leaders, that is; the YALI Mandela Washington Fellowship, YALI Network, and the Regional Leadership Centers across Africa.
