Makerere University Business School Management has postponed the 15th Graduation Ceremony that was slated to take place virtually on Friday, July 16, 2021 .

According to the School calendar, the graduation was scheduled to take place in May 2020. However, the event did not take due to the Covid-19 lockdown and the School revised a date to July 16, 2021.

Ms. Eldred KyomuhangiManyindo, the School Registrar, notes that the postponement was in compliance with the Presidential directives for

curbing the spread of COVID-19, the ceremony has been postponed. A new date will be announced as shall be guided by Government on Covid-19 SOPs.”

MUBS has two graduation ceremonies; the first one is where PhD, Master’s and Bachelor students admitted by Makerere University, studying at MUBS and are presented to Makerere for graduation. This group graduated at the Makerere University 71st congregation in May 2021. The second graduation is for MUBS postgraduate, Diploma and Certificate students and those from its affiliated institutions who graduate from MUBS.

In her communication, the School Registrar further noted that, “students that have fulfilled all graduation requirements for the academic years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 on the listed programmes will be conferred with their respective academic awards. Students will be advised on commencement of the Online registration for the virtual graduation.”

Each graduand will be expected to pay graduation fees as categories for Ugandans and International students
