Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has announced a comprehensive round of staff promotions across academic, administrative, and support cadres, reflecting the institution’s strategic focus on professional growth, institutional development, and academic leadership.
The promotions, all effective July 1, 2025, were approved by the Appointments Board during its 76th and 77th Meetings, held on August 21 and September 8, 2025, respectively. The announcement was formally made by the School Secretary, Dr. Francis Yosa, who emphasized that these promotions affirm MUBS’ unwavering commitment to merit-based advancement, recognition of service, and the long-term sustainability of excellence in teaching, research, and administration.
Academic Staff Promotions At its 76th Meeting, the Appointments Board approved the promotion of several academic staff members to the ranks of Professor, Associate Professor, and Senior Lecturer. These appointments reflect the School’s dedication to advancing scholarly leadership, fostering research excellence, and building a strong intellectual community. In addition, academic staff were promoted to the positions of Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer, demonstrating MUBS’ commitment to cultivating the next generation of scholars.
