Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Guild President, H.E. Rose Nabwire, made an emotional return to her alma mater, Nabisunsa Girls School, where she addressed newly elected student leaders and reflected on her personal leadership journey. The event took place on July 31, 2025.
Standing once again on the school grounds where her aspirations first took root, Nabwire shared words of encouragement and inspiration with the students.
“I walk the same slabs not as a student, but as a mentor, sowing seeds where mine once grew,” she said, urging the new leaders to believe in their potential. “Honestly, you can do whatever you put your mind to.”
H.E. Nabwire’s visit marked a full-circle moment, returning not just as an alumna but as a national student leader. Her message emphasized confidence, resilience, and the power of young women taking up leadership roles.
The newly elected Nabisunsa student leaders were congratulated by Nabwire, who encouraged them to lead with purpose, integrity, and a commitment to uplifting their peers.
Her return to Nabisunsa highlights the importance of mentorship and role models in shaping the next generation of female leaders in Uganda. It also reflects MUBS Guild’s growing role in community engagement and youth empowerment beyond campus walls.
