R-L Dr. Nabatanzi Annet Muyimba, Dr. Joshua Mugambwa hosting the UN Convention delegates
On Friday June 7, 2024, the MUBS Knowledge for Development Centre (K4D) had a meeting with the UN Convention on Biodiversity in the Ag. Principal’s Board Room at MUBS Main Campus, Nakawa.
The Director MUBS K4D, Dr. Nabatanzi Annet Muyimba explained that the UN Convention on Biodiversity has secured funding to facilitate knowledge Management (KM) capacity building for Biodiversity and would like to partner with the MUBS-K4D Centre and NEMA to host the KM4Biodiversity Africa Regional Conference in Uganda, this year in December.
The conference delegates will be drawn from 55 African countries and over 30 international organizations and UN partners for the Global Biodiversity Agenda.
Our partners, the Knowledge for Development Partnership (K4DP) are the lead facilitators of the KM capacity building program. This is a great opportunity for MUBS-K4D Centre to position itself as an International Competence Centre for Knowledge based Development.
We now await the signing of the host agreement between UN and Government of Uganda represented by the Ministry of Water and Environment. Cheers to Prof. Muhwezi Moses and Prof. Andreas.
