Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Mbale Campus rolled out the red carpet for its first-year students during the annual Fresher’s Ball on October 10, 2025. The Campus was alive with excitement as freshers mingled with continuing students, faculty, and staff, marking the start of their University journey in style. The event kicked off with Mr. Faisal Mubuke, representing the Campus Chief welcoming the first years and encouraged them to embrace hard work and make the most of their time at MUBS.
The Chief Fresher urged students to seize new opportunities, while the Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Sharon Arionget reassured students of the School’s support and encouraged mentorship between continuing and new students.
Mr. Nakola Norman, reminded students of the importance of staying focused on their studies and maintaining regular lecture attendanceHighlights of the celebration included a cake-cutting ceremony with administration representatives, guild leaders, and first-year students, followed by a delicious meal.
Outstanding first-year students from each program were awarded gifts to encourage academic excellence.
