On Thursday June 6, 2024 A group of four MUBS students were in Nairobi to represent the School in the Hult Prize annual international innovations competition, the world’s largest student social entrepreneurship competition.
The Hult Prize is a worldwide student competition that challenges university teams to solve the most pressing global issues with viable business ideas.
They were led by the Hult Campus Director Bill Tinkamanyire to participate in the 15th Hult Regional Summit competition where the overall winner will carry home US$1 million Grand Prize.
The Students, who are competing under for $1m, which will launch their enterprise. Together, they have researched and come up with a new venture.
The Hult Prize is a business model contest with students from more than 1000 universities around the world. It is an annual international innovations competition that leverages business and science for good and for-profit ideas that challenge social entrepreneurs and to innovate and think to solve society challenges.
Students are expected to showcase their start-up solutions in teams of three or four members with the end-goal of possibly competing in the worldwide finals for US$1 million in start-up funding.
