Lira, — September 15, 2025. The MUBS Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Incubation Centre (EIIC) under the GROW Project conducted comprehensive training sessions for women in Agur and Aromo, Lira District, as well as Lira City, focusing on essential business skills to empower them towards building sustainable enterprises.

The Essential Skills training kicked off simultaneously in these locations on September 15, 2025, providing a platform for women to develop practical entrepreneurial skills and cultivate a growth mindset necessary for unlocking their full potential.

Participants engaged in interactive and practical sessions designed to foster innovation, business management, and strategic thinking. The initiative aligns with the broader goals of the GROW Project to support economic empowerment and drive sustainable growth within communities.

Women entrepreneurs attending the sessions expressed eagerness to learn and improve their business skills, highlighting the transformative impact such capacity-building efforts have on their households and wider communities.

Speaking at the event, project coordinators emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship as a critical tool for poverty alleviation and economic development, particularly for women who are key contributors to local economies.

Through these training sessions, women are better positioned to launch and grow viable businesses, contributing to their household incomes and the regional economy.

The MUBS EIIC continues to spearhead such capacity-building efforts as part of its commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship across Uganda.
