The Principal of Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Prof. Moses Muhwezi, hosted the Nigerian High Commissioner to Uganda, Ambassador John Shama Shaga, at the MUBS Main Campus for a high-level meeting aimed at exploring strategic collaborative opportunities.

Held on Monday September 15, 2025, the meeting focused on fostering partnerships between the Government of Nigeria and MUBS, with discussions centered around academic exchange, joint research initiatives, and capacity-building programs designed to benefit both Ugandan and Nigerian institutions.

Prof. Muhwezi reiterated MUBS’ commitment to expanding its international partnerships and strengthening the Institution’s academic and research capabilities through global engagement.

Ambassador Shaga expressed keen interest in deepening educational ties between Nigeria and Uganda, emphasizing the potential for mutually beneficial projects to support skills development, innovation, and socio – economic progress . This meeting marked a significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations and positioning education as a key driver of development. Both parties agreed to maintain ongoing dialogue and begin developing concrete proposals for collaboration in the near future.
