MUBS Arua Campus South Sudanese  United Student’s Association on June 12, 2024 held their handover ceremony at the Campus premises. This ceremony marked the official hand over of office and tools of power from the old students associations leaders to the incoming student leaders (2024/2025).
The Guest of Honor , Mr. Barnabas Samuel, the program Manager with Community Development Centre Uganda, encouraged the students to keep their originality and unique identities and challenged them to dare to dream, embrace hard work, be creative and innovative, yearn to learn, and above all inspiring them that everyone has the potential to thrive. Sharing his experience as a former street boy, who amidst all odds managed to make it to where he is today. He urged them to be agents of peace when they go back to their home country.
The Assistant Dean of students Arua Campus, urged the incoming members of the students executives to employ ethics and integrity in their term of office and not to dim the candle already lit by the outgoing team, who have made tremendous achievements. She also applauded them for their high level of organization, and most importantly for the unity, urging them to be agents of peace back home.
The new President, Alone Patrick pledged to move the Association to greater heights. He praised the outgoing President”Pan Africanist” Abraham Charyang, for being a transformative leader who drove positive change in the Association. The Campus currently has 70 students from South Sudanese.
