On December 9, 2025, the MUBS Support Staff Association (MUBSSSA) held its end-of-year Get- Together party at Rivonia Suites, Mbuya. While addressing the gathering, the Principal, Prof. Moses Muhwezi, encouraged staff to strengthen teamwork by fostering positive and respectful relationships in the workplace.

He emphasized that support staff provide essential services to the institution and should therefore work diligently without fear of intimidation.
“I honor you as support staff, you are just as important as everyone else at MUBS; we simply play different roles,” he stated.
He also advised them to celebrate one another’s achievements, support each other during difficult moments, and maintain a strong sense of unity. The Principal highlighted the importance of fairness and equity in the distribution of opportunities within the institution and commended the Human Resources Directorate for its exceptional efforts in this regard. He encouraged staff to find fulfillment in their roles, remain committed to serving the institution, and work together as one family, noting that MUBS leadership remains open and supportive. The Ag Deputy Principal, Assoc. Prof. Rachel Mindra Katoroogo, encouraged support staff to embrace saving and investment practices while continually reflecting on their personal growth and value addition to the institution. She called upon staff to work together in supporting the Principal and to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, assuring them of continued institutional support. The School Secretary, Dr. Francis Yosa, expressed appreciation for the contribution of support staff and encouraged them to remain hardworking. He noted that the revised HR Manual has created a more inclusive and conducive working environment for all staff members.
The Chief Human Resources Officer, Ms. Christine Nanyombi Mubiru, applauded the support staff for their teamwork and affirmed their critical role in the smooth functioning of MUBS. “You are the backbone of MUBS. Without you, we cannot function. We value you and remain committed to supporting you,” she said.
The Chairperson of MUBSSSA, Mr. John Paul Opolot, noted that the annual gathering motivates staff and strengthens unity, emphasizing the need for continued support as the association grows.
