I urge you all to continue actively participating in our activities, bring novel suggestions and deliver your best.
The year 2023 ended, I take this opportunity to thank you all of your hard work and dedication to the Faculty of Management and the School. The year 2023 has been filled with many accomplishments in the Faculty. I am confident that the positive momentum that we have accomplished together will continue, and the upward trajectory of the Faculty will linger. We have taught, held Guest Lectures, short term training and seminars through the Leadership C e n t r e , c o n d u c t e d, research, published, mentored, each other and students. Some Staff in the Faculty have enrolled for PhDs and Master programmes in various Universities. We have also initiated a number of Local and International collaborations. On a social note, some colleagues in the Faculty have given birth, got married, built homes or promising to do so. Glory is to God. We are incredibly proud of these achievements. Despite these achievements, we also experienced some challenges mainly on research and PhD scholarship funding as well as delayed emoluments among others. Some of our colleagues failed to enroll on PhD due to the scarce resources, and others lost their loved ones. As we look ahead to 2024, we face new opportunities and challenges. Nevertheless, I am confident that we will continue to thrive. Thanks to the passion, active participation, creativity and resilience that we have demonstrated throughout the past year together. We note that our Internationalization strategy has delivered opportunities for Master and PhDs studies in University of Ghana and China Agricultural University.
We hope some colleagues will pick interest in these International education exposures. In 2024, the Faculty of Management will continue to pursue its Internationalization strategy and professionalization aspiration. We believe this guiding focus will deliver Faculty development programs such as; sustaining a culture of teaching excellence, inclusion, advancing new initiatives in teaching and learning; and supporting individual faculty members’ goals for professional development, personal aspirations and development. Further, we intend to reach out for consultancies from prospecti ve client organisati ons. It is an honor and privilege to serve you as Dean. I am grateful for your support and l look forward to our conti nued successes. Your passion, commitment and caliber of work is important to the Faculty of Management.
I urge you to continue actively participating in our activities, bring novel suggestions and deliver your best. I am deeply grateful to students, Staff in the Faculty of Management and entire MUBS for all their support. I am honored to work alongside such an outstanding community. I look forward to take on new challenges, continue to explore, and reach new goals together for the greater good.
Dr. Joshua Mugambwa, Dean Faculty of Management
